Our Objectives

Our objectives are to:

• Analyse and improve our understanding of government planning, policy and decision-making processes and practices that can lead to reversing biodiversity loss, reducing impacts of climate change and improving the welfare of target communities at national, regional, continental, and global levels.
• Support national governments to prepare for and participate at relevant COP meetings
• Support the design and implementation of projects on inclusive biodiversity conservation and sustainable use; climate change mitigation and adaptation; ecosystem/landscape restoration; and poverty reduction focusing on nature-based solutions.
• Facilitate the scaling up of investments that address the multiple challenges of biodiversity loss, climate change, environmental degradation and poverty to underpin resilient and sustainable socio-economic development and livelihoods
• Support effective governance systems based on transparency, accountability, inclusive and consensual decision-making and equitable and sustainable nature-based value chains
